The weather was a little crisp but perfect for the annual Quail Valley Charities Golf Tournament and 5K walk/run held recently in Vero Beach, Florida. The morning was filled with music, bounce houses, face painting, and more, which set the tone for the runners and walkers to lace up their shoes. Hundreds of participants enjoyed the day and raised significant funds for RCMA and 21 other charities in the Vero Beach area.
Since its inception in 2001, Quail Valley Charities (QVC) has dedicated their funding to selected nonprofit organizations and programs in Indian River County, focusing solely on children and their education. Their first event, a two-day golf tournament, raised a total of $120,000 – all of which was donated to 12 specifically chosen programs by the QVC Committee.
Each year following, the QVC Committee has increased the number of events offered, which has helped them raise significant funds to serve countless charities in the Indian River area. To date, Quail Valley Charities has donated over $11.3 million to nonprofit organizations in Indian River County that support children, their education and well-being.
