Kid-designed holiday cards available from RCMA through Dec. 13

E1 BayCare

IMMOKALEE (Nov. 15) – Christmas trees strung with strawberries, the state of Florida bedecked with a Santa hat and oranges, and traditional images such as nativity scenes and poinsettia plants are among the designs by RCMA students that individuals and business can purchase to support the children’s education.

RCMA is the state’s largest non-profit provider of early childhood education, operating 65 child development centers and two charter schools in 21 counties and serving 5,500 children annually.

Each year the students from primarily rural, low-income migrant families draw inspiration from the farms where their parents work and the closeness of their families to create festive artwork used on the cards.

Individual images, variety packs and exclusive designs that can be personalized with a name or logo are available at rcma.org/cards through Dec. 13, 2021. For more information, call Clay Hollenkamp at 813-215-5803 or Sonia Tighe at 321-214-5245.

Proceeds this year will support RCMA’s campaign to build a new charter school in Mulberry, which will serve 500 children with RCMA’s innovative, bilingual curriculum and offer wrap-around services for the whole family in line with the organization’s holistic approach toward education.
