The Faces of Mulberry Community Academy
Creating the best academic foundation for our students begins with our staff and teachers. Every MCA staff member is a champion for the success of our scholars. We work hard to foster a safe and nurturing environment for every child to thrive, because we know that early life experiences shape how a child develops. Our goal is to partner with parents to help their children explore the world around them and develop a passion for lifelong learning.
Meet Our New Principal
Ms. Dani Higgins
Meet Dani Higgins, the new principal of RCMA Mulberry Community Academy. With over twenty years of experience working for Polk County Schools, Dani is an accomplished and passionate educator dedicated to improving educational opportunities and access for students.
For 17 years, Dani worked with the Title 1 Migrant Education Program, where her advocacy and leadership led her to serve on the governing boards of Central Florida Health Care, Healthy Start Coalition, Called To Serve Farmworkers, and RCMA. She was also appointed to serve on the National Council on Migrant Health to promote better health outcomes nationally for migrant and seasonal farmworkers.
Dani’s commitment to education extends beyond her professional work, as she has served for many years as a Take Stock in Children Mentor. She believes all students can learn and should be given the support needed for success.
As the new principal of Mulberry Community Academy, Dani is excited about the upcoming school year and looks forward to working with the school community to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Her leadership philosophy is centered around the belief that every student can succeed, and she is committed to providing students with the resources and support they need to reach their full potential.
