For the second year in a row, RCMA is celebrating the exceptional academic performance of its dual-language charter schools in Florida’s 2024-2025 Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) evaluations.
RCMA’s Immokalee Community Academy (ICA) once again earned an A grade, maintaining its status as a top-performing school in the region. In individual courses, ICA was ranked number one in Collier County in Math.
RCMA’s Wimauma Community Academy (WCA) also upheld its strong academic standing, receiving another high B grade this year. The school also ranked in the top 3% of all schools in the state for Civics. These consistent, high-level results highlight the dedication of the educators, staff, and families who support these thriving school communities.
The Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) is a statewide assessment system that measures student achievement and growth in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. The results guide instruction and ensure Florida’s students are on track for success.
RCMA Executive Director Isabel Garcia praised the accomplishments of the two charter schools:
“We are beyond proud of our students and teachers at both Immokalee and Wimauma Community Academies,” said Garcia. “Their hard work, determination, and commitment to academic excellence are evident in these results. Maintaining an A and a strong B grade is no small feat—it’s the result of a deep, shared belief in the power of education to change lives.”
RCMA also recognized its newest school, Mulberry Community Academy, which opened two years ago and is currently serving kindergarten through second grade. Due to its grade configuration, the academy was not eligible to participate in this year’s FAST assessments.
“We’re excited to see what the future holds for Mulberry as it grows into a full K-8 school,” Garcia added.
RCMA is Florida’s largest nonprofit provider of early childhood education, operating 54 child development centers and three charter schools that serve children of low-income and agricultural-working families. RCMA offers a holistic, bilingual approach to education that prepares children for success in school—and in life.
