Part of what makes RCMA such a special place is its staff. Many of our staff first became part of the RCMA family as children, what we refer to as “RCMA babies,” and now many are serving the family that once served them. In several instances, we’ve seen children come to RCMA from their earliest days, grow through the program, go off to school, then come back and work for the organization. Best of all, they have shared their journey of success with us and we co uld not be prouder.
One such example is Guadalupe Isidro. An exceptional RCMA staff member, Guadalupe is set to achieve a major milestone in her life. She recently graduated from Mulberry High School, and has been awarded admission and a well-deserved financial aid package to attend Michigan State University through the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP).
CAMP assists students who are migratory or seasonal farmworkers (or children of such workers) enrolled in their first year of undergraduate studies at an Institution of Higher Education. The funding supports completion of the first year of studies.
Guadalupe’s journey is one of determination and resilience, and it is a testament to the unwavering spirit that drives RCMA’s mission forward. As the oldest of seven children, Guadalupe has taken on the role of a trailblazer within her family. Her youngest siblings are served in the Mulberry CDC, making her achievement all the more significant.
“Guadalupe is a shining example of what hard work and humility can achieve,” said Dani Higgins, Principal at RCMA’s Mulberry Community Academy. “She consistently goes above and beyond, excelling in her studies while simultaneously working part-time and dedicating her time to assisting at the United Way food distribut ions at RCMA. Her dedication and selflessness are truly remarkable.”
Guadalupe has chosen to pursue a career in criminal justice because she wants to make a difference in society.
Through her work at RCMA, Guadalupe demonstrates her dedication to our organization and the community, and we have no doubt that she will continue to positively impact the lives of others in her chosen field. We celebrate Guadalupe’s extraordinary achievement and extend our heartfelt congratulations to her. Her success is not only a personal triumph but also a testament to the nurturing and supportive environment we strive to foster within our organization.
